Lochanview Lodge

The lodges are part of a private development, which consists of nine Log Cabins in a horseshoe formation round a central Lochan.

The Lochan attracts May Fly, Dragon fly and Newts The wood surrounding the cabins are home to the red squirrel who if fed nuts will keep you amused all day with their antics. You might hear noises in the garden in the early hours of the morning, it may be the deer who come down from the forest or the Badger foraging for food.

The cabins are furnished to a high Standard, with open plan kitchen / dining area and lounge. Both Log Cabins have:

Wi Fi broadband Internet access.
Fully equipped kitchen area with electric hob, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and dining table.
Lounge with TV, Sky, (movies and sport) DVD.
En - suite bedroom with large spa / Jacuzzi bath.
Two twin bedrooms, one with TV, DVD and play station 2.
Shower room with WC.
Utility room with washer / dryer, iron.
Travel cot and high chair.

The Log cabins have large decked verandas and gardens with swings for the children, out door furniture for al - fresco dining.

Towels and bed linen are provided, the rates are fully inclusive of heating / electric charges.

Well behaved dogs and responsible owners are welcome. Dogs must bring their own beds

The surrounding area offers a diverse range of attractions from national trust to golf, sailing, forest and coastal walks, wildlife reserves and the popular 7 stanes route on the doorstep. Miles of unspoilt and varied coastline with sandy beaches and rock pools close by.

The whole area is steeped in history and a treat for nature lovers.
Boat trips available at Kippford and Kirkcudbright.
Many golf courses close by.
Trout and sea fishing in the area.
Horse riding and riding lessons 4 miles away and pony trekking nearby.
Galloway wildlife conservation park.
