Traditional Fishermans Cottage
The cottage provides an ideal retreat away from the pressures of day to day living and is an ideal base for touring this lovely corner of Scotland. The area is ideal for walking, touring, golfing, river and sea fishing, bird spotting, as well as the possibility of viewing the school of dolphins which frequent the Moray Firth. The Castle Trail and Whisky Trail are within driving distance. The cottage is perfect for a romantic getaway, family holiday, base for touring or just a for a complete away from it all break.
The village of Gardenstown offers a baker, butcher, hotel with pub and a seperate restaurant all within a few minutes walk.
The nearest larger towns are Macduff and Banff (approx 7 miles) and Fraserburgh (approx 12 miles). The nearest city is Aberdeen which is approx an hours drive away.
The cottage has two bedrooms upstairs one wih a double bed with views over the beach and the sea, and the second with twin beds.
Their is a full bathroom with electric shower over the bath. A seperate eating kitchen has a dining table plus cooker etc, microwave, stereo/cd player, and again this room has a terrific view over the shore and beach to the headland. Mains phone for incoming calls. The lounge has an open coal fire, 28' tv and dvd player, plus seating for about six. All main rooms have electric heating.
All fuel, electic, linen and bedding are included in the weekly rental price.
To sum up - a terrific away from it all traditional cottage from previous centuries, with all mod cons in a sensational setting in a unique corner of North East Scotland.
