Bluebell Croft Luxury 5 Star Self Catering

Bluebell Croft has been open since July 2006 on the Ardnamurchan Peninsular on the beautiful West Coast of the Highlands of Scotland.

The house and cottage have been built with great care and attention to detail. There is much use of natural stone outside and inside bricks and oak furniture throughout. The accommodation is spacious, light and sunny and the enormous conservatory overlooks the giant hot tub with panoramic views to the Strontian Glen and river and south to a peak of the sea.

All rooms are en-suite with huge beds, goose down duvets and enormous towels. Under floor heating throughout the downstairs and in the tiled bathroom floors and wood burning fires in the sitting rooms with free logs.

Bluebell is a working croft and produce including meat, eggs, vegetables and fruit and much home-smoked produce including salmon, bacon, ham and cheese can be bought making self-catering a delight and even fresh organic bread delivered to your cottage every day for breakfast.

Suppers are a highlight and dinners of up to 5 courses can be served by former 'Rural Chef of the Year' and Masterchef. Book soon as we are quickly filling up for 2008.

We are half an hour from Fort William where there is skiing and the summer mountain experience at Nevis Range. The peninsular of Ardnamurchan is on the doorstep with the most westerly point on the British Mainland a stunning drive away and the wonderful sandy beaches of Sanna and several Secret Singings Sands a fabulous day out we can share with you.

The Natural History Centre near Glenborrodale is a must. The small isles of Muck, Rhum and Eigg are a day trip from Arisaig with whale and dolphin sightings a common experience and tea on Muck a highlight.

Mull and Iona are a short distance away via Morvern with sightings of Eagles and Sea Eagles common.

The cottage is wonderful - spacious & superbly fitted out, the hot tub outside with views up the glen to the mountains is amazing. The location beautiful - stunning views, fresh air & peace. Theres fresh organic food to buy straight from the croft, and even a dinner cooked by Sukie! Theres plenty for the kids even without going anywhere - animals, toys, trampolines, super walks from the door through nature reserves & woodlands. Strontian is a great base for wonderful day trips too - Mull, Ardnamurchan Point, Sanna & Glenfinnan were some that we did. Sukie & Bill did so much to help make the holiday & make us feel right at home - we had a wonderful time in 2006 and are going back in 2008 - can highly recommend it to anyone. ...
