Self Catering Accommodation in Tavira, Algarve

Located within walking distance of the quaint little village of Santo Estevão, just a few kilometres from Tavira in the East Algarve and surrounded by Orange, Carrob and Olive trees, the Bed and Breakfast is an excellent base from which to explore the Algarve.

Whether you can choose to put your feet up and take it easy next to the swimming pool or enjoy an active holiday, there is so much to do in the East Algarve. There are numerous walking trails very close to Casa Verdazul, which take you through the various regions of the East Algarve. The B&B overlooks the Rio Formosa natural reserve which has an abundant bird life. The Algarve is famous for it's wonderful beaches, regarded as the best in Europe. If golf is your game, there are plenty of high quality courses in the area.

Dolphin tours and boat tours are also very popular as the dolphins swim up close to the boat and leap out of the water. Fantastic to see them in their natural environment. There are several boat tours available offering different routes which range from an informative trip through the Rio Formosa reserve to a trip to the beach islands of Culatra and Farol.

The accommodation consists of four spacious apartments and a penthouse apartment each with a luxury steam shower and private balcony, as well as a two bedroom cottage which sleeps up to six people. Self catering is possible as each accommodation has cooking facilities and a refrigerator.
All rooms have air conditioning which is optional and can be used for heating for longer winter stays too.

The garden and swimming pool area are great places to relax. It’s always possible to find your own private place in the shade whether to have a lunch or just enjoy the surroundings.

There village of Santo Estevao is approximately 500 meters from the guesthouse and has a wonderful traditional Portuguese restaurant, a pharmacy, a post office and a fey grocery stores.

The Spanish border is only 25 kilometres away, so a day trip into Spain is also an option. One and a half hour drive takes you to Seville, which is city well worth seeing.
