Both houses are detached and spaced well apart from each other, enclosed by a large garden with trees giving shade to a patio terrace, plus a lawn with shrubs and flower beds, secluded seating areas, wishing well, large inflatable paddling pool, boule set, BBQ, outdoor furniture and sun loungers, parking spaces within the grounds of the property
House No. 1 is a villa style property on one level, it has a double bedroom, with a new double bed, and en-suite wc. Kitchen- living room, Shower room with wc and washbasin, laundry - utility room with washing machine and clothes dryer. The property is ideal for a couple.
House No. 2 is a renovated cottage on two levels, and is surprisingly very spacious, comprising of a lounge with new double sofa bed, plus a single futon, rustic kitchen, staircase leading up to 2 x double bedrooms (an additional single bed and baby cot are also available) shower room with wc and washbasin. Offers comfortable accommodation for family or group of 6-8 persons.
Both houses are self-catering and very well equipped with essential modern conveniences. Include a 4 ring gas cooker with oven and grill, all tableware, cooking utensils and cutlery, coffee maker, blender, electric kettle and toaster, fridge/freezer, hair dryer, vacuum cleaner, new bed linen, pillows, continental quilts and blankets. TV, CD and DVD player with films and music.
A very popular attraction 6 miles away in Bourganeuf, is a Medieval Castle built in the mid 12th century by The Templar Knights. There is also a good choice of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants in the town, with an excellent farmers market, tourist office, and a fascinating museum.
Also worth visiting is Aubusson, the proud historic UNESCO world heritage site for tapestry weaving. Nearby is the huge Lake Vassiviere and Regional Nature Park, 19,000 acres of land designated as an area of ecological importance, a haven for wildlife, as well as for outdoor pursuits and water sports.
Just 30 minutes north, up in the evergreen forest landscape of Les Monts de Gueret, is wolf territory, and the home of Les Loups de Chabrieres, the renowned sanctuary acclaimed for species protection. Also there is Le Labyrinthe Geant, reputed to be the worlds largest foliage maze.
Often called the land of a thousand lakes, Limousin a magical land of rolling hills, valleys, lakes and rivers. Dotted with renaissance chateaux and medieval fairy tale castles. And an abundance of natural wildlife, set in a mild temperate climate, with beautifully colourful spring and autumn, idyllic long hot summers and romantic snow covered winters.
One hour from the city of Limoges, with an International Airport and Railway Station accompanied by a wide choice of car rental facilities, allowing various methods of travel including TGV High Speed Train from London, Brussels or Amsterdam. Driving here is aided by a good French road system and excellent motorway service stations open 24 hours, 7 days a week, this is also an ideal location for a Fly-Drive Holiday.
