The village of Tarvin is located in the centre of the attractive Cheshire countryside 7km from the historic city of Chester. It has a good range of shops including a mini-supermarket, greengrocers, chemist, delicatessen, newsagents, coffee shop, hairdressers, fashion boutique, petrol station. There are two pubs all serving food as well as a Chineseand a high quality Thai restaurant.
Evidence of Chester's Roman history abounds and visitors can walk around the old city on a high sandstone wall. The streets have shops on two levels and a worldwide selection of restaurants. The nightlife is busy with entertainment ranging from live theatre to jazz venues and discos.
Cottage One has modern, fabric covered three piece suite, coffee table, two bookcases and two occasional tables. The dining area has a table with six chairs and Welsh dresser decorated with Victorian china-ware.
Cottage One comprises the following well equipped accommodation:

The lounges of both cottages are equipped with multi-channel LCD Television, Video libraries and an extensive range of reading material and tourist and guide books. Both kitchens are particularly well appointed with a fridge, washing machine, gas hob, oven, microwave, fat free grilling machine, electric kettle, toaster, iron and board, 6 piece dinner service and crystal glassware.
Cottage Two is furnished with two attractive 2-seater settees, a coffee table and wall-unit containing video library and reading material. A wide range of games are available in both cottages. Small children's equipment such as cot, and highchair can be provided if requested in advance. There is a well stocked toy box.

Lane Cottage Two is smaller than Lane Cottage One but is finished to the same high standard and contains a comparable range of equipment. Dinning facilities are limited to a small breakfast table for two in the kitchen and a drop leaf oak table with two chairs in the lounge. The lounge is both attractive and comfortable with its living flame gas fire and quality lighting.
Lane House is a 1930s semi-detached house with 3 bedrooms and large gardens overlooking the cheshire countryside. The property is attractively furnished and has a spacous conservatory, lounge, dining room and fully fitted kitchen. Lane House has full gas central heating and parking for two cars.
The Lounge of Lane House is equipped with multi-channel LCD Television, Video libraries and an range of reading materials and tourist and guide books. The kitchens is has a fridge, washing machine, electric oven, microwave, fat free grilling machine, kettle, toaster, iron, crockery and glassware.
The village of Tarvin is close to Delamere Forest and the spectacular sandstone trail. Beeston castle is only 6miles away and there numerous other interesting places to visit. Chester has many attractions not least the river, the old Roman walls and the two level shopping rows. There is a worldwide selection of restaurants many in very old buildings. The fantastic surrounding countryside offers a range of premier golf courses and a wide range of country pursuits such as hiking and cycling.

Cottages are centrally heated with guests having full access to the boiler. Both cottages are equipped with an original cast iron fireplace containing a living flame gas fire.
The cottages are located in the centre of a village close to shops and other amenities. Although they back onto an attractive shared garden where guests can sit under an cherry tree and enjoy a glass of wine, they are never far away from adjoining properties.

Kitchens are very well equipped with electrical goods, cutlery, crockery and glassware.
The bathroom of cottage 1 is fully tiled and has full sized bath and extra large shower cubicle.
The bathroom of cottage 2 is fully tiled with a shower over the bath.
Each cottage has a washing machine and there is access to a tumble drier and washing line.
Parking is on a private car park adjacent to the cottages.
Wide screen LCD TV receiving more than 20 channels.
Guests may use the owner's computer to send e-mails.
The owners can provide advice on local amenities, pubs and restaurants, make bookings, act as a guide, and assist with minor repairs.
Things to do
There is an excellent selection of reading material and a variety of games and jigsaw puzzles to add interest during periods of inclement weather.
