Agriturismo Lavanda Blu sits on a panoramic hillside overlooking a peaceful valley with a view of the Sibillini Mountains. Nestled amongst vineyards, olive groves and fields of sunflowers in the ancient countryside of the medieval village of Carassai, it's an ideal place to explore the area and to relax.
We are located 20 minutes from the beach, 30 minutes from the mountains, 60 minutes from the beautiful city of Ascoli Piceno and are surrounded by beautiful patchwork hills dotted with charming medieval villages.
Our Agriturismo has 2 holiday apartments and an agri-campsite – areas in which to pitch a tent in the countryside and olive grove surrounding the agriturismo.
The local ancient village of Carassai is a 20 min walk or a quick 3 km drive.
The beach is 20 min. by car.
The Sibillini National Park is about an hour by car
Frasassi Caves are about 1˝ hours by car.
Visit the beautiful medieval cities Fermo (25 min) and Ascoli Piceno (50 min)
There are many picturesque medieval towns and villages in the area that are close by (5-30)
There are many vineyards nearby that can be visited for wine tasting.
Hiking trails are everywhere.
A terrific pizzeria and many good restaurants are 5-20 minutes by car.
Golf is available at the Conero golf club and at Pescara, each about 1 hour by car. There is a golf course 10 minutes away in Montefiore del'Aso.
Your host Hans is a cyclist and will arrange cycling itineraries either through the challenging hills and mountains or in the valleys or coastline. Bring your road or mountain bike!
Your host Elizabeth, a chef, offers Italian cookery courses upon reservation.
A couple of nights a week we offer dinners cooked by Elizabeth, so if you’d like to stay home some nights, let us do the cooking!
In the fall we welcome guests who would like to help with the grape harvest or the olive harvest and take part in the centuries old tradition of making wine and olive oil.
