Erisgeir Holiday Cottage, Isle of Mull
Erisgeir is a family owned and managed luxury self catering holiday cottage on the Isle of Mull. The cottage sleeps 6 people, is available to rent all year round and is fully equipped to the highest standards.
Erisgeir is a modern, spacious bungalow built by the current owners in 1979. Situated in half an acre of private grounds there are uninterrupted views down to the loch, over to Burg and across the surrounding 2,000 acre private family estate. The bungalow is situated at the southern and less commercialised end of the Island . So if you are looking for some peace and tranquillity then this is a haven for it.
Erisgeir is also used as a family holiday home and as such is equipped with all the luxuries that you would expect to find at home - fridge freezer, electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, TV, DVD and Sky Freeview and central heating.
The bungalow has lots of living space and very comfortably sleeps 6 adults (no sofa beds here!!). There are two big double bedrooms and one twin bedroom.
These are serviced by a bathroom with shower and toilet and a separate toilet. The living space is mostly open plan with a large L shaped lounge diner. One of the most enchanting features of the house is the sun room which stretches the width of the house and catches the sun for most of the day.
Erisgeir is situated in a secluded yet elevated position halfway between Bunnessan and Fionnphort. So you can tuck yourselves away and relax or head out to ‘civilisation' at one of the quaint pubs and restaurants that are easily reached by car. The pubs stock locally brewed beers and malt whiskies as well as most of the mainland usuals. They quite often serve on a ‘last man standing' basis too! There are regular events held throughout the summer holiday period including live Celtic bands and celidhs. The restaurants serve food to an excellent standard, notably the seafood. Well worth sampling!!!
