Wanney Cottage is comfortable and spacious retaining its old charm with all modern facilities. It has central heating throughout. Downstairs are separate kitchen, lounge with dining area, wood burning stove, DVD, Hifi, TV (Sky freeview) and sunroom with stunning views over open country and towards the Cheviot Hills.
Upstairs are the master bedroom with king-size bed and 2nd bedroom with single bed and bathroom with shower over bath.
The prices include bed linen, towels, heating electricity and the first basket of logs. The kitchen is well equipped and has many extras, such as oil, herbs etc, for the more ambitious cooks amongst our guests.
Outdoors is a large, fenced in garden, backing onto field and parking for up to 2 cars. Wanney Cottage lies on a farm track 250 metres away from the main road, which provides a peaceful and quite location.
Wanney lies in the heart of Northumberland, allowing easy access to the many tourist attraction within Northumberland: Hadrian's Wall, Kielder Water, Alnwick Castle and gardens, Wallington Hall, deserted sandy beaches, picturesque fishing villages and castles along the Northumberland coast. The cities Newcastle upon Tyne and Edinburgh are only a short drive away (1 -1.5 hours).
There are plenty of outdoor activities available from walks at all levels, to bird watching, cycling, fishing, horse riding, water sports and golf. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants in the area providing good food in a friendly, welcoming environment.
Wanney Cottage is open all year. Our prices range from £270 to £450 per week all-inclusive, depending on season.
A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking and the balance is payable 8 weeks before the start of the holiday. The deposit is not refundable unless the period cancelled can be re-let.
Pets are welcome by prior arrangement at no extra costs.
A travel cot and highchair can be provided.
The owners live next door and are available for any queries or information guests may require. Gaby and Peter will do their utmost to make the stay of their guests enjoyable and relaxing.
