Hafod self catering Holidays, Llanberis.

Hafod Lydan is ideally situated for visiting Snowdon, Llanberis, and is set in an elevated position offering breathtaking views.

It is the original farm house, for what is still a working farm. The farm stretches up to the summit of Moel Eilio, which is where the sheep graze all summer. The cattle are 'wintered in' in the sheds. This gives you the chance to experience farm life. During the summer you are welcome to see the sheep being sheared, usually takes place mid July.

Newly refurbished, the house offers a solid base for touring and sight seeing in this awesome part of Wales. With a fully equipped kitchen, 4 bedrooms furnished as bunkrooms, (one double room with king size bed, one room with one bunk bed, one with two bunks, and one room 2 single beds), simple but comfortable, a dining room and two lounges, one doubling as an extra bedroom with double sofa bed if needed. It is a comfortable size for 10 people and can sleep that extra two if need be. With woodburners in 3 rooms, tied in with the central heating, it makes for a cosy place to be come summer or winter.

There are two shower rooms, one walk in shower, toilet and basin upstairs and a wet room style one downstairs.

The stairs are unique and a bit awkward until you get used to them! They have two right angle turns so less able people would need to use the lounge with sofa bed. The shower room down stairs is 'wet room' style.


All bed linen can be provided.
Logs are supplied for the woodburners. They tie in with an oil system, so if the fire is not alight in the main lounge the heating will still work if need be.

Outside is ample parking, patio area and garden with BBQ. Plus panoramic views of Llyn Padarn and up to Nant Peris, and over Elidir, Y Garn and the Glyders.
You are able to access the mountains straight from Hafod, with miles of walking, biking, right on the doorstep.

The village of Llanberis is three quarters of a mile down the road, and has all you will need for your vacation.

Groceries, chemist, cafes, take-aways, pubs etc.
There are numerous tourist attractions in the village. Electric Mountain, Snowdon Railway, Welsh slate museum and many more.

There are more alterations taking place at Hafod, the old stone hay barn and buildings are at the moment a bit derelict and are about to receive a lot of TLC, so for the 2008/2009 seasons expect to see some alterations taking place. These will then also be holiday accomodation offering large groups, family get togethers, to all stay in one property. We will make sure any of these alterations are undertaken in a manner that will not disturb guests.
