Self catering accommodation superbly located in a holiday house with stunning views over beautiful Carbis Bay, St Ives, Cornwall. Sleeps 6 - 8 in versatile accommodation. The house is 5 minutes walk from the calm, clear waters and sandy beach of Carbis Bay, through a lovely wooded valley along a pathed footpath. A scenic walk into St Ives along the National Trust coast path will take about 15-20 mins, or you can hop on the St Ives branch line train.

The large 22' x 21' sitting room is located upstairs, and enjoys stunning views across St Ives Bay to the lighthouse through big windows.

The roomy kitchen and dining area leads of the sitting room, creating an overall feeling of space and light.

Downstairs on the lower floor, the master bedroom has a double bed, built in wardrobes and ensuite bathroom, and enjoys a sea view. A further twin (or triple) bedroom has a sink and a sea view.

On the mid (entry) level floor is a large master suite, 19' x 16'. This has French doors opening onto the garden and an ensuite bathroom, and can sleep 2-4. There is also a 3rd family bathroom on this level.

The sleeping arrangements are very flexible, and overall 6-8 could be accommodated. For example, you could have 4 using the 2 bedrooms downstairs, and 2-4 using the master suite.

Outside there are large gardens, gas barbeque, a large table and plenty of chairs for alfresco dining, and children's climbing frame.

St Ives, an old fishing village with narrow cobbled streets and granite cottages, boasts charm and culture with esoteric shops and art galleries. Culinary delights range from fabulous fish and chips on the sea front to fine dining at one of the many restaurants. There are even a couple of trendy bars. Visit the latest exhibitions at Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum Take a boat trip out to seal island or further afield with Elemental Boat Tours.

Looking for something more active? You can learn to surf or dive.
Surfboards can also be rented on the beach at Porthmeor, from Sunset Surf at Gwithian or from Sandsifter at Godrevy.

Bird watching? The nearby Hayle Estuary is an RSPB reserve. A short hop on the scenic St Ives branch line to Lelant Station, offers a great vantage point for bird watchers to look for some of the rare species that have been sighted in the estuary.
