Barn Owl Cottage
You are always ensured a warm welcome at Barn Owl Cottage with fresh flowers and a loaf of Lincolnshire Plum Bread on the table and a bottle of nice wine chilling in the fridge.
Barn Owl Cottage is the ideal place to explore the Lincolnshire Wolds (An area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) or the coast with lots of lovely beaches at lively Mablethorpe or romantic Anderby Creek
In the winter you can visit Donna Nook on the coast where Grey Seals come to have their pups! In 2007 over 1000 seal pups were born there.
You can visit the Georgian market town of Louth which is just 3 miles from North Cockerington. Louth is known as the Capital of the Wolds and you can visit many small family run shops and have a meal at one the many good restaurants.
Barn Owl Cottage is situated in the quiet hamlet of North Cockerington. The cottage has got a full size kitchen, dining area, a well equipped living room with Freeview TV, DVD player and a bookcase full of novels and local maps as well as some board games and jigsaw puzzles. There's also a very comfortable sofabed.
In the bedroom you will find a Silentnight bed so you can have a good night's sleep after a long day exploring the beautiful countryside! You won't be kept awake by the sound of traffic...but you may hear some owls hoot!
In the bathroom there is a powerful shower over the bath and plenty of fluffy towels! The cottage has got it's own garden with fruit trees and herb garden and a lovely seating area.
We also have bikes for hire to explore Poacher Country and a secure shed to lock up any of your own equipment or bikes.
Why not go to the local Farm Shop and buy some locally produced meat or vegetables and on a sunny day enjoy a barbeque. Please take a look at our website for full description, lots of photos and current prices.
