A delightful detached Barn providing an excellent standard of accommodation for those seeking a perfect country retreat. Set within the grounds of our own property, surrounded by beautiful open countryside, with horses, wild ducks and guinea fowl.

Mashay Barn is ideal for exploring this lovely part of East Anglia, which is famously known for the filming the TV series Lovejoy.

With the Suffolk/Essex border just 50 metres away from our property, we can offer our guests a wealth of attractions and places to visit in both Suffolk and Essex and all within a short car journey. Numerous pretty villages to visit locally, Clare, Finichingfield, Long Melford and Lavenham, to name but a few. Gosfield Lake, which is only 6 miles away, offers an 18 hole Golf Course, Water Skiing, fishing and walks through its Nature Reserve. Kentwell Hall, Hedingham Castle, Gainsborough House that is all steeped in history are within an easy drive. For those who like to explore a little further there is Newmarket with its racecourse, stud and museum. The legendary Duxford Imperial War Museum is a full day out and well worth a visit.

Historic National Trust properties such as Melford Hall, The Guildhall of Corpus Christi, Ickworth Park, Grange Barn, Paycocke's and Flatford Mill famously know as the location of many of John Constable's best know paintings are all just a thirty minute car journey.

The market town of Clare, 3 miles away, caters for all your local shopping needs, while the larger town of Sudbury is just 7 miles away. Nearest Pub serving good food is just 1 mile. Golf, fishing, walking, boat hire and numerous gift and antique shops are available locally.

Mashay Barn offers a first class accommodation whether your stay is a romantic break or a relaxing holiday. The barn is all at ground level, it has just been completely renovated, and it is cosy, comfortable and tastefully decorated incorporating Laura Ashley bed linen, curtains cushions and accessories.

Accommodation comprises:

Bedroom area with a double Wrought Iron Bedstead with a comfortable mattress and pillows, pine wardrobe, dressing table, bedside table. Hairdryer.

Lounge/Dining area with comfortable, good quality sofa and chair, pine dining table & 2 chairs, Colour TV, DVD, CD player, books, DVD's and electric heaters.
Well equipped kitchen with gas cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, iron/board

Bathroom with bath and an over bath shower attachment, WC and hand basin.
All linen/towels and electric/gas are included in the tariff. There is off the street parking and an enclosed decked area with garden furniture. A welcome hamper is provided.
