Everyone who stays at Seaview loves the charm of the old fashioned pace of life and the close proximity to all amenities.
You really do not need to drive anywhere once you have arrived. The shops are l minute away and the seafront and beach are 2 minutes away.
The Seaview Hotel is excellent for bars, bar snacks or restaurant meals.
There is a pub on the seafront called the Old Fort and a cafe.
There is also a Thai restaurant and take away.
The grocery shop provides all your needs including delicious home made cakes and pies and sandwiches etc etc.
Should you want to explore the island there are some amazing walks inland and on the coastal path. Visit the Needles and Old Battery and other National Trust sites.
Osborne House is famous as Queen Victoria's Summer Holiday Home. Cowes week is spectacular and some of the largest yachts in the world visit in July and August.
Children feel free and parents feel that Seaview is a safe place.
There are many island attractions for all the family from the Garlic Farm and shop to the village of Godshill where there is a lovely miniature village.
Surfing is good on the south side of the island at Compton Bay.
Yarmouth is a very pretty harbour and village at the other end of the island from Seaview but worth a visit and tea at The George Hotel is very good.
Yachtsmen from all over the world have visited the island at some time or other.
The trip to the island can be as exciting for adults as it is for children once they drive on the car ferry - they really feel they are getting away from it all.
The pace of life is much slower on the island and particularly so out of season.
