The Lily Pad

A charming, purpose built stone holiday cottage complex, developed at the home of Jane and Andrew Codman. The 3 Cottages each sleeping 6, have easy access to an indoor pool which is heated by our own very special woodburner, as is all the underfloor heating and hot water in the cottages.

The cottages can be booked from one night to any length of stay required. I do not have specific check in days as peoples lives are very flexible and we like to fit in with all our clients.

New for 2007 a studio apartment sleeping 2. This is a handy area for short stays and has a shower room, sofa bed, simple cooking area, clothes storage area and is next to the swimming pool so great for a weekend break or a business visit to the area, as the pool would allow a you to de- stress after a hard day at the office.

The Lily Pad has very easy access to some lovely country walks with your dog and all can be tailored to include a pub, just ask for directions. The pubs in the area are all good for food, The Black Horse being cheaper than The Queens Head.

The Falcon at Fotheringhay is a very popular eatery and a visit is a must as are the remains of the castle where Mary Queen of Scots was beheaded. The church is magnificent and is worth a visit with your camera.

Celebration parties, wedding receptions can be catered for, please ask for further details.

Garden, decking area overlooks meadows where out pet sheep graze with our childrens ponies.

Downstairs bathroom and bedroom make them ideal for visitors with less mobility. 2 further bedrooms are situated on the 1st floor. The living areas are open plan, light, airy and comfortable.

Ample off road parking and a pleasant welcome awaits.

Ideal location for visiting, Peterborough, Peterborough Cathedral, Cambridge, Stamford, Rutland Water, Rockingham Raceway, Rockingham Castle, Northampton, Lincolnshire, Burghley House, Burghey Horse Trials, Burghley Garden of Suprizes, Oundle School, Oakham School, Uppingham School, Thrapston Lakes, Grafham Water. Apethorpe Hall,recently saved from ruin is a must see. Prebendal Manor in the village as featured on Time Team, private visits can be arranged.

The cottages are also in easy reach of The North Norfolk Coast to enjoy it many pretty towns and and vilages of Burnham Market, Brancaster, Holme Next The Sea, Wells.

I can also arrange a visit from our local beautician and arrange for home cooked suppers to be delivered to your door.
