Dundas Castle Boathouse Holiday Cottage
Finding a unique and breathtaking location for that perfect romantic experience can be an endless task.
The Boathouse is located in the heart of the Dundas Estate on a private loch. It is a one bedroom cottage with beautiful views over the loch and provides the most perfect and cosy retreat.
Even though you are only 8 miles from the centre of Edinburgh and 10 minutes from the airport, there is 500 acres of wood and parkland there for you to enjoy. You can wake up to a champagne breakfast on the veranda whilst watching a myriad of wild bird life including swans, herons, ducks and coot.
Should you choose to leave the seclusion of your private holiday cottage then a short drive will take you to South Queensferry, near Edinburgh, with its charming stores, historic buildings, waterfront pubs and restaurants and of course the magnificent views of the bridges.
Champany Inn, one of the best restaurants for Scottish Beef, Lamb and Seafood, complimented by an award winning wine cellar, is just 15 minutes away.
Dundas Castle is one of Scotland's most beautiful and historic castles. Built in 1818 by the renowned Scottish architect, William Burn, the Castle is now the luxurious stately home of Sir Jack Stewart-Clark and his wife, Lady Lydia.
The castle is available for exclusive hire and can be booked for a wide variety of events - weddings, conferences, business meetings, incentive travel group visits, private dinner parties, launch parties and receptions. You can even book it all just for 2, for a romantic weekend.
