Swincombe Mill

Located on the edge of a tranquil Exmoor village, Swincombe Mill is a detached high quality barn conversion completed in spring 2005. Guests enjoy a peaceful and secluded setting yet are not isolated. The barn is located up a small farm lane that serves just a couple of other properties. It is a short walk to the village shop and the Black Venus Pub. The barn has been given a 5* grading by Visit Britain and is one of only a very few self catering properties on Exmoor to be placed in this category.

Large glazed doors open into the Living room (37 feet long) with full height ceiling, exposed beams and stone, wood burning stove, slate floor with under floor heating. Television and DVD player. Doors open onto a large Sun Deck with wooden picnic table, BBQ, and sun chairs - ideal for long lunches or balmy evenings.

There is a fully fitted kitchen with a large gas range cooker at its heart. Dishwasher, Fridge and freezer are all integrated. We have provided quality cookware together with Denby crockery. Radio / CD player. Microwave.

Leading off the kitchen is the utility room with washing machine and tumble dyer as well as plenty of space for coats and walking boots. Cloak room.

There are two double bedrooms both with 6'6 long zip and link beds which can be provided as doubles or twins. Linen (sheets and duvets) is provided as are towels. Both bedrooms have quality furniture together with built in wardrobes.

The bathroom is large with extra width walk in shower as well as bath. There is a dressing table and heated towel rail.

Swincombe Mill has oil fired central heating and there is a telephone which allows incoming and local outgoing calls. Welcome pack of local produce and essentials on arrival. Our prices at Swincombe Mill are inclusive - no extra charges for logs, linen, heating etc.

Swincombe Mill is non smoking. Very well behaved pets that do not sleep on beds or chase sheep by arrangement.
