Dykehead House Holiday Cottages
The two cottages - Coll cottage and Tiree cottage - each sleep six people, and are part of Dykehead House, a listed building of architectural and historical interest dating back to the 1700's. Both cottages were completely renovated and refurbished in 2007 to the highest standards, offering modern facilities and comfort in a traditional country setting.
Dykehead is some 14 miles from the historic city of Stirling, 7 miles from Loch Lomond and just one hours drive from Scotland's two main cities: Glasgow and Edinburgh. There are many beautiful villages near by with shops, restaurants, pubs and historical sites.
Coll and Tiree cottages provide an excellent base for exploring Scotland at any time of the year. There are many local walks, as well as cycling, fishing, loch sailing and horse riding. The Trossachs area is renowned for its stunning beauty as well as having an abundance of historical places to visit.
You will never be at a loss for something to do or somewhere to visit during your stay.
Tiree Cottage
A spacious newly refurbished cottage on one floor sleeping six with a traditional country feel.
Tiree cottage has a large and spacious lounge dining room with an attractive stone fire place and French doors overlooking the gardens. There are three bedrooms off the lounge diner, two twins and one double each decorated in an individual country style. A well appointed kitchen and bathroom complete this comfortable and stylish cottage. There is oil fired central heating throughout.
Coll Cottage
A delightful newly restored three bedroom cottage sleeping six, with a light and airy contemporary feel
Coll cottage has a spacious lounge dining room with multifuel stove, leading into a well appointed kitchen with modern appliances. The ground floor also has a twin-bedroom and a modern luxury bathroom. Upstairs there are two further bedrooms, one twin the other double, each with wonderful country views. Coll cottage is decorated and furnished in a contemporary style and has oil fired central heating throughout.
Locall attractions include historic Stirling castle, Bannockburn, Lake of Menteith, Trossachs - an area of rolling hills and mountains, Loch Lomond, Glasgow and historic Edinburgh
