Self Catering holiday Cottage Gite, in Rural Brittany
We offer a self-catering holiday cottage, set in a rural hamlet, and surrounded by farmland. This is a traditional stone built Breton cottage, attached to our main home.
The bright, clean accommodation is suitable for up to 4 people, and has been recently renovated to a high standard.
The accommodation comprises:
*2 double bedrooms (both with double beds), and 1 single bedroom with single bed.
*shower room with shower, wc, hand basin, heated towel rail.
*open-plan salon containing kitchen, dining , and lounge areas.
French tv, washing machine, fridge/freezer, gas hob, microwave, mini-oven, ironing equipment.
The cottage has a private terrace and lawned garden with garden furniture, barbeque and parking.
Guests also have access to our larger garden with lawns, lovely cottage garden flowerbeds and vegetable plots.
From the cottage it is just 3km to the village for daily basics, and 10km or 12km to the nearest towns of Carhaix and Rostrenen for supermarkets and entertainment.
It is 2km to the village water gardens with lakes, flowerbeds, picnic areas, and play areas.
The Nantes Brest Canal is just 3km from the cottage, and is ideal for walking, cycling, jogging, and nature-watching.
There are many beautiful churches in the surrounding area, and it is possible to visit most of the famous Brittany calvaries from this location.
We provide tourist information in the cottage, including walking routes (various levels),suggested day trips, and sight-seeing leaflets.
We are ideally situated in the countryside, but just 3 minutes to a Route Nationale.
From this central location, it is possible to take day trips to most parts of Brittany, including the coasts.
