Olive Grove Apartment, Greece without the crowds!

Olive Grove apartment is a bright, modern, one bedroom, self-catering holiday home of 50 sq/mtrs. It is set on the edge of the olive groves near a small hillside village, half way between Kalamata and Stoupa in the Messinia region of the Peloponnese. With the sea to the west (so you should get some spectacular sunsets) and the Taigetos mountains to the east you have superb all round views.

There are excellent tavernas only 5 minutes drive down the hill in the charming fishing village of Kitries, and the gently sloping Santava beach is just 5kms away.

This is rural Greece at its best, where the villagers wave to you as they pass by on their way to work in the olive groves or to tend their sheep and goats. The nightlife here is listening to the cicadas and watching the lights of the fishing boats in the bay.

This beautiful area of the Peloponnese begs to be explored, with the historic sites of Mystra, Messini and Olympia all easily reached for a day trip, and walking the Taigetos gorges is not to be missed.

Olive Grove apartment has every thing you need for a great holiday, and its position and stunning views make it a very special place for you to relax and unwind. Olive Grove apartment was built in 2004 and has an open-plan living room and kitchen/diner.

There is a double bedroom with twin beds and a double sofa bed in the lounge. The bedroom also has a wardrobe and small dressing table and stool. The fully tiled shower room with toilet and wash hand basin has a modern standard of plumbing.

There is a small patio area for outdoor meals and shady spots on the adjoining terraces in the garden to relax in. Linen is changed on Sunday and Wednesday. Olive Grove apartment is a self-contained holiday home and is part of Olive Grove House.

The owners, Martin and Jackie live here permanently, and will be here to greet you on arrival.

This means that you can enjoy the independence, peace and privacy of a self-catering holiday home, knowing that someone is on hand for extra info if needed.

Kalianeika has no shop or taverna, but fresh fruit and vegetables are available from the vans that visit the village most days. There are small shops in Stavropigio and large supermarkets in Kalamata and Stoupa. Having a floor area of 50sq/mtrs, the apartment is pleasantly spacious and as the above pages show it is fully equipped for up to 4 guests.
