Rising from the waters edge, the village of Gardenstown is built into magnificent Red-Sandstone cliffs with panoramic views of Gamrie bay. Take an evening stroll, picnic on the beach or paddle in the sea, the choice is yours. For the less energetic there is always the local public house serving evening meals or a relaxing drink. Children welcome.

Gardenstown is a good place to see the famous Moray Firth Dolphins when they swim across the bay. Boat trips to see the dolphins may be arranged from the harbour or from McDuff harbour. Sea birds and other wildlife can be observed from the front garden. Take your binoculars as there is always plenty of wildlife to watch, particularly in the breading season. The nearby RSPB bird sanctuary 'Troup Head' has a colony of Puffins as well as Guillemots, Gannets, Kittiwakes and Razorbills. Bird watching trips can also be arranged from Mcduff harbour

The coastal trail passes through the village allowing easy access to some of the most stunning scenery on the North East Coast.

For the Golfer there are two superb golf courses in nearby Banff and McDuff. Duff House Royal Golf Club and the Royal Tarlair Golf Club, which has an exhilarating cliff top course with slended views of the Moray Firth. Great for stout hearted golfers particularly on a windy day!

Two Bears self catering cottage is only a short drive from Speyside home to more than half of Scotlands famous distilleries. Glenfiddich, Glenlivet, Strathisla, Cardhu and glen Grant are but a few of the treasure waiting to be discovered in this most beautiful part of Scotland.

For the fisherman Gardenstown has lots to offer. You can fish from the harbour wall or from the beach. Sea fishing is available in McDuff and river fishing on the river Deveron.
