Michalmas Cottage Eastbourne Holiday Cottages

The cottage is tastefully furnished to reflect the period of the property and to enhance your holiday. It comprises of a living room, kitchen, bathroom and double bedroom. Outside there is a pretty courtyard garden. The cottage is ideally situated for walkers, bird watchers, beachcombers nature lovers and sun worshippers. Meads has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants all within walking distance and the centre of Eastbourne with its elegant promenade and grand hotels is a mile away. The property is self catering and is well equipped.

Beach Head is nearby and the South Downs Way is only a short walk from the cottage. Nearby attractions include, Glyndebourne opera house, Charleston Farm House, Pevensey Castle, Drusilla's Zoo and many more local attractions.

Villages nearby include, Alfriston, Littlington, and slightly further afield is Rye. Brighton is about 20 miles away and a bus passes nearby the cottage on the route to Brighton.

The sea is only 200yds away, where there is the shore at Holywell and extensive promenades. Walk west along the shore at low tide and there are many rock pools. At high tide, as much as 20 - 30 yards of beach is left revealed before the chalk cliffs, depending on how calm or rough the sea is. Walk east along the promenades passing lovely buildings, large hotels and beautiful flowerbeds towards the Bandstand, the Pier and the famous Carpet Gardens.

Eastbourne and the surrounding area have many restaurants, cafes and pubs with food outlets. Many of the hotels also have restaurants open to non-residents.

Weekly rent for the cottage is from:

Low season: £250 per week
Mid season: £315 per week
High season: £350 per week
Premium season: £350 per week

We require £100.00 deposit/security with your booking, which will be returned to you within 2 weeks of your departure.

Please vacate by 10.00 am on the day of departure. Check in is at 2.30 pm.
Our cottage is a strictly non-smoking and no pets property.

The rental includes electricity, tea-towels, bed linen and bathroom towels, but we ask you to bring your own beach towels.

We also provide a welcome pack, so that you do not have to rush out and buy essentials - ie. milk, bread, butter, tea, toilet roll etc.
