Beauregard is a tastefully renovated 200-year-old grange with a wealth of honey-coloured stone walls and oak beams. The gite sleeps 4-6 people with facilities for children.

Beauregard is a traditionally designed gite with all mod-cons supplied, ensuring that your holiday is comfortable and memorable.

Surrounded on all sides by the gently rolling French landscape, you will enjoy the panoramic views and rural tranquillity.

The English owners live on site permanently. We will welcome you to Beauregard on arrival and ensure that your holiday runs smoothly. We are able to give advice on most things; from local market times to recommending the best local restaurants.

Things To Do Locally ..
Despite being in a rural area, there are many and varied days out to keep you busy on your holiday.

You may want to experience the traditional France. If so, visit the local markets. During the summer, there are enough for a different one every day of the week. Here your senses will be assaulted with the sound, smell and colour of the best and freshest of local produce.

Perhaps you enjoy wine. Here you will be able to sip and taste your way through 50 local vineyards of the Cotes de Duras.

If food is your passion, there are many local restaurants, which offer a superb gastronomic feast at superb value. It is common to enjoy a 5 course meal for under E15.

Things to do, Day Trips.....
If you wish to travel further afield for a day trip or two, Beauregard is ideally placed.

Bordeaux is an hours drive north-west and offers a wealth of culture, sophistication and cosmopolitan chic. Take a detour and visit the famous wine producing town of St.Emilion .
South from Bordeaux, along the coast towards Spain, the sandy beaches and giant sand dunes of Les Landes, stretch for miles .. don't forget your surf board.

Bergerac is a 40 minute drive away and is a fascinating medieval city which has recently undergone sympathetic restoration to offer a bustling urban environment with old world charm.

Again, don't forget to visit the famous Monbazillac Chateau.

Don't miss the cave paintings at Lascaux and Cro-magnon caves in the Vezere valley. If you are a fan of the Clan of the Cave Bear books, you will be fascinated. You will find grottes, caves and stunning scenery. Walk in their footsteps!

Following the River Dordogne further East, you will come to the towns of Domme, Rocamodour and Roc Gageac; beautiful towns which are built into the living rock on vertical cliffs.

There are water parks, particularly popular with the children, at Bergerac and a Walibi water/theme park on the route to Agen.
