The East Wing

The East Wing is a one bedroom flat, which was converted in the 1920s from the original farm buildings to form a guest wing for Noddsdale House. It is most attractive and the sitting room is particularly unusual with a pitched wooden ceiling.

The self-contained accommodation comprises a hall, kitchen/dining, bedroom, bathroom and sitting room. Sleeps 2 in either 5'double or two 2'6' single beds in the bedroom with electric blankets. There is also a double sofa bed in the sitting room and an extra single in the hall if required.

The well-equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, fridge with icebox, microwave, magimix and a split-level oven.

The bathroom has a bath, basin and wc.

There is a telephone with an honesty box, a television and video and a cd player. All heating is electric and included in the price as are all linen and towels. There is access to a shared washing machine and tumble dryer in the old laundry.

Entry to the property is by ten steps making it unsuitable for disabled people or young children. We welcome children 10 years and over, but regret we do not allow pets. Car parking is beside the property and there is a tennis court. Water is supplied by a private spring.

The area is one of natural beauty with many islands to visit and explore. There are many golf courses locally and for those who like houses and gardens there is Mount Stuart, home of the Marquis of Bute, on the Island of Bute which is a treasure filled house with wonderful gardens. Arran has Brodick Castle and a distillery at Loch Ranza. South of Ayr is Culzean Castle and gardens.

There are many fine cafes and restaurants in the area and further afield. Glasgow is only 50 minutes by car and has so much to offer. Alternatively, go West and take a trip to Inverary Castle and eat at the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar. The choice is yours and when you come here you can do exactly as you please!
