Radcliffe Holiday Cottage

Our self catering cottage has been awarded Visit Scotland's 3 star accreditation and Ancestral Tourism welcome scheme. The cottage comfortably sleeping up to 6, can accommodate a range of families or small group.

Our L-shaped traditionally stone built cottage dates from around 1860 and has since been extended and modernised. It is believed to have formed part of the Comlongon Castle estate, now a famous wedding venue.

Situated on the Burns and Solway Coast heritage trail, Ruthwell lies between Annan and Dumfries, and each town is easily accessible. Carlisle can be reached by car in half an hour and the larger cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh are less than 2 hours drive. Gretna Green, the romantic wedding location is less than 30 minutes by car.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, you will soon begin to unwind.

Lounge
The spacious lounge has two sofas and an armchair, remote control colour television, nicam video recorder, DVD player and Freeview. A large selection of videos for all the family are provided for your enjoyment. A log effect electric stove supplements the central heating in the colder weather. Numerous board games, books and toys are provided to keep all ages and interests amused.

Kitchen
The fully fitted kitchen is well equipped with appliances, cookware, crockery and cutlery.

Bedroom 1
This large twin room has remote control colour television and is furnished with a double wardrobe, dressing table, chests of drawers, easy chairs and a well stocked bookcase. A portable radio cassette player is provided for your use.

Bedroom 2
Twin room furnished with chest of drawers, dressing table and sliding wardrobe space.

Bedroom 3
Bunked bedroom with full size pine beds and furnished with dressing table, chest of drawers, easy chair and sliding wardrobe space.

Bathroom
Family sized bathroom with bath and shower, wash hand basin, toilet and electric shaver point.

Cloakroom
This small cloakroom has a toilet and wash hand basin.

Garage
An area is available for storing bicycles and other outdoor equipment.

Garden
The cottage has it's own open garden and patio furniture is provided. A drying area is also available.

Parking
Private off road parking for 4 cars
