Selfcatering House Ana is offering you a sense of rest in a old Istrian house built in 1905.

Today, renewed and decorated in the true Istrian style, this house gives a complete comfort to its guests.

The garden decorated with the host's special affection, barbecue corner for gourmans in the spacious back yard covered with wine grapes makes one's sense complete.
Bathroom, kitchen and living-room on the ground floor of the house have a separate entrance. On the first floor there are two comfortable rooms with five beds. There is a French bed in one of the rooms, while there are three beds with a separate bathroom in the other.

Every room has heating and there is all necessary aparatus for the whole year´s stay at your service.

For all those who enjoy in gastronomic specialities and would like to taste Istrian cuisine and drink something good in a warm, delightful and pleasant surrounding by the fireplace, as for those with a spirit for adventures who would like to get to know the history, the beauty and the charms of Istria, the hosts are there for you every day. And the hosts wish you a very warm welcome because, do not forget, vacations and visits are short, but people remember as long as they live.

KANFANAR, a village situated on the south west of the Istrian peninsula, 8 km far from the sea at Lim Bay and not far from two Istrian towns Pula (28 km) and Rovinj (17 km).

Istria; that miniature world of small islands, hills, nature and true hospitality; the largest peninsula on the Adriatic and the nearest Mediterranean to Central Europe with its pleasant summers and mild winters.

Thanks to the newly built motorway, the 'Istrian Y', it takes around half an hour by car or train to get from Italy, Slovenia and the U&No.269;ka Tunnel to Kanfanar.

If you decide to go by car with a bicycle or even on foot out of Kanfanar you will come across a rambling net of paths leading to the hidden corners of Cental Istria.
This is an area outside the usual tourist flows, away from traffic jams and stress; an area where nature and history meet in one place, where the medieval town Dvigrad especially stands out.

Traces of human culture in the Kanfanar area go more than 12,000 years back. The 600 modest and hardworking inhabitants living in Kanfanar today will make you feel welcome.

Kanfanar lies at 275 m above-sea and this height guarantees fresh air, away from traffic jams and noise. All this contributes to Kanfanar's peace and quiet ideal for relaxation.

If you have the opportunity, come to the traditional folk-fest called Jakovlja, where you will be able to see the autochtonous type of Istrian cattle, the biggest domestic animal in Istria and Europe. Jakovlja is held the last Saturday in July on St. Jacob's day.
