Tichborne's Farm Cottages

Enjoy a holiday or short break in the English countryside at Tichborne's Farm near Devizes, in the beautiful Vale of Pewsey.

The old stables on this working farm are now three luxury self catering cottages with one rated Mobility Grade 1 for disabled visitors.

The accommodation is graded 4 star by Visit Britain.

We are located between Stonehenge and Bath, and there is plenty for our guests to see and do. Explore the Kennet and Avon canal, visit our arts festivals, stately homes, mysterious corn circles and prehistoric remains or simply enjoy wonderful walking and peaceful rural surroundings.

The stables were converted into three holiday cottages in the autumn of 2002, and have very well equipped kitchens, full central heating and fabulous 'healthopaedic' mattresses that react to the weight and temperature of the body by moulding to its shape.

Guests share the barbecue, patio area with lawn, creating a pleasant sociable atmosphere.

A laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer, upright freezer and heated room for drying boots and clothing is available.

There is ample parking space.

Linnet Cottage

Sleeps 4

Single storey split level cottage with cosy living room including sofa, wicker armchairs, television, video & DVD player, CD/tape stereo units, telephone and internet point. Kitchen within the living area has oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge.

Double bedroom. Step down to twin bedroom and bathroom with bath, shower, basin, WC and a handy airing cupboard.

A cot, high chair and extra folding bed are available if required.

Bed linen and towels are supplied.

Swallow Cottage

Sleeps 4

Single storey split level cottage with cosy living room containing sofa, wicker armchairs, television, video & DVD player, CD/tape stereo units, telephone and internet point. Kitchen within the living area has oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge.

Double bedroom. Step up to twin bedroom and bathroom with bath, shower, basin, WC and a handy airing cupboard.

A cot, high chair and extra folding bed are available if required.

Bed linen and towels are supplied.

Kestrel Cottage

Sleeps 4. Rated Mobility Grade 1 for disabled visitors.

This cottage is all on one level, and the bathroom features a roll-in shower. Bath and toilet have grab rails. As in the other cottages, there is a living room with sofa, wicker armchairs, television, video & DVD player, CD/tape stereo units, telephone and internet point. Kitchen within the living area has oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge.

Double bedroom & Twin bedroom.

A cot, high chair and extra folding bed are available if required.

Bed linen and towels are supplied.

All prices include Linen, towels, heating, electricity, use of private phone line, laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer, upright freezer and drying room for clothes and boots etc.

Devizes is two and a half miles away. It has a choice of supermarkets and a good range of interesting independent shops. For easy self catering, there are two excellent delicatessens and some takeaways, The colourful weekly market on Thursday mornings is worth a visit, and there is a monthly Farmers' Market.

Wadworth's Brewery in the town still makes deliveries every weekday using traditional horsedrawn drays. Their 6X beer is on offer in most of the local pubs.

The town has a cinema, chemists, medical and dental services.
