Aunby Granary and cottage
Aunby Granary is a conversion of an ancient building, parts of which are believed to be 900 years old. Modern, light and airy, it now contains 3 double rooms and a stunning 50-foot reception room, which, like the adjoining cottage benefits from lake and wildflower meadow views.
Aunby Cottage, which can be taken either on its own or in conjunction with the Granary (there is an interconnecting door if required) has a cosy sitting room with wood burning stove, fully fitted kitchen and two spacious double bedrooms.
The Granary sleeps up to 8 people, the Cottage up to 6; taken together we can accommodate 14 people.
Four star rated. Situated 5 miles north of the Georgian stone town of Stamford, we are ideally located for exploring 'hidden England', Rutland Water, and the castles at Rockingham, Grimsthorpe, Belvoir, as well as Belton House, Burghley and Woolsthorpe Manor, famous as the birthplace of Isaac Newton. Sherwood forest is easily accessible with Go Ape! as is Tolethorpe with its famous open air Shakespeare festival.
We are surrounded by famous gardens, Easton Walled gardens, Barnsdale gardens and so on.
