Around the corner you will find the ring Strasse, burg-theater and City town-hall.
Famous shopping street Kaerntner Straße, state opera house, Saint Stephan's Cathedral is also in walking distance to our flat.

Karlsplatz underground station (5-8 minute walk.)
The Karlsplatz underground station is quite huge and spreads from the edge of Resselpark under a section of Kärntner Strasse up to the building of Vienna State Opera (Wiener Staatsoper). Tram stops are located both at Karlsplatz (next to Resselpark) and in front of the Staatsoper building.
The Vienna Künstlerhaus is an exhibition building on the Ringstrasse. It is located on the Karlsplatz, adjacent to the building of the Vienna Musikverein.

Hofburg Palace (20 minute walk.)
The Hofburg Palace was orignially a medieval castle, but today only the castle chapel ('Burgkapelle') demonstrates its medieval past. The Hofburg was extended to a magnificent residence when the Habsburg's power increased. That's why one can find almost any architectural style, from gothic to art nouveau. Nowadays this enormous complex is home to 'Österreichische Nationalbibliothek' (National Library), 'Schatzkammer' (Imperial Treasury), and houses a collection of musical instruments, another collection of weapons, a 'Museum für Völkerkunde' (Museum of Ethnography) and famous 'Spanische Hofreitschule' (Spanish Riding School). Vienna's Imperial castle also houses exotic butterflies in a marvellous art-deco glass house!
