Popular with local families, Southbourne is a Blue Flag beach and is sandy with some shingle. It is reached by cliff paths called zig-zags. The recently replenished beach is now huge. It’s a quieter beach, popular with bathers, as it has no sudden shelves or rip currents.
Dorset is famous for its picturesque coastline, the Jurassic Coast, which features many unusual landforms; Lulworth Cove (a proper cove), Durdle Door, the Isle of Portland, Chesil Beach and Old Harry’s Rock. This area was designated a World Heritage Site in 2001.On the Poole Bay coast lie the famous resorts of Poole and Bournemouth, along with the elegant town of Christchurch on the Easter edge. The River Frome estuary has formed Poole Harbour, the second largest natural harbour in the world, Sydney, Australia claims to be first, but locals dispute this claim. The harbour is very shallow but contains many islands including Brownsea, the home of a Red Squirrel colony and the Scouting movement.
The harbour is a haven for water-sports; para-gliding, kayaking, sail-boarding, jet-ski tours and many more, take the water taxi tours from Poole, Brownsea & Sandbanks. Then there’s Sandbanks - fourth most expensive real-estate in the World - see the multi-million pound homes, the surrounding Poole suburbs of Lilliput, Canford Cliffs, Branksome Park and Lower Parkstone also boast many multi-million pound homes in fantastic sylvanian locations overlooking the harbour. Further east with no visible join to Poole lies Bournemouth with two piers and seven miles of sandy Blue-Flag beaches. Bournemouth has the shopping, the nightlife and dozens of restaurants to suite everyone, child friendly, good for families or romantic breaks for couples. Boscombe, Fisherman’s Walk and Southbourne are all suburbs of Bournemouth, stretching further east towards Christchurch, all with Blue-Flag beaches. Boscombe also has its own pier and now its own £3-million surf-reef.

In the family bathroom relax and soak in the full-size bath, there is a shower in the bath with a sliding shower screen. Over the washbasin is a make-up shelf with that all important x5 magnifying mirror. Both the bathroom and en-suite have washbasins and WCs. We provide toilet rolls.
The apartment has a linen cupboard to hang your coats and put your dirty linen. In the hall is a cupboard with more hanging space and room for the vacuum cleaner, airer, iron and ironing board.
There is balcony with cushioned seating for 2 to have a drink in the late evening sun before going to the local Lasiette (Italian) or Schooner restaurants.
There is a communal bike store with a reserved space for one bike, in the basement is a storage room to put your boards, luggage and golf equipment.
