Herefordshire is truly a rural secret, diverse countryside of wooded rolling hills to meandering river valleys, the least populated county in England. Wander along leafy lanes through productive farmland of rich red soil to Market towns, Black and White timber villages, historic churches, border castles, glorious gardens and of course the Hereford Cathedral with the world famous Mappa Mundi and Chained Library.
Hereford city centre offers a wide range of shopping facilities including regular specialist markets, a leisure centre, cinema, theatre and the only museum dedicated to cider in the country.
The surrounding villages and market towns either side of the Welsh border, offer an abundance of history, gardens, golfing, fishing, walking and scenery with breath taking views.
The villages scattered around all have traditional pubs and churches, some have ruined castles, all have beautiful scenery.
