Harrabeer Country House is a delightful family residence set in a quiet and relaxed area just on the edge of Dartmoor. Offers many of the services of a small HOTEL, graded as 4 star Guest Accommodation, holds the AA red star award and was a recent top 20 finalist for the prestigious AA Landlady of the Year Award. We offer versatile accommodation to suit you so come and enjoy being well looked after in a quiet, friendly, relaxed environment.

If you choose to B&B, why not treat yourselves and stay in our Master Bedroom. This is a beautifully appointed, large room over-looking Dartmoor, has an en-suite bathroom with bath/shower and bidet and, in the bedroom, there are extras such as a trouser press, TV with video and DVD player.

We also have 5 other comfortable standard bedrooms (twin or double beds): all have en-suite or private bathroom facilities with TV, tea/coffee making facilities, telephone etc. One of the rooms is the home to a beautiful Victorian double bed.

Come down to an attractive restaurant for a leisurely breakfast and order dinner for the evening: unless you would prefer to eat out.(We have some excellent tried and tested recommendations!). Relax in the gracious sitting room, enjoy an open fire that burns in the bar area on cooler evenings (restaurant and residential licence) or sitting in the small, pretty, secluded garden when warmer is idyllic!

Our Self-Catering facilities consist of 2 well furnished suites in our tasteful barn conversion revealing many original features of stone and woodwork. Each suite has a twin/double bedroom en-suite, a living room area with table and chairs, 2 settees (one is a double sofa-bed) and a well-equipped kitchenette. We are more than happy to welcome our self-caterers into the restaurant for breakfasts and evening meals, by prior arrangement, and to make use of the hotel bar and garden, should they wish.

The Location too, is well placed for outdoor activities on and around Dartmoor with a host of interesting places to visit such as many National Trust properties, The Garden House, The Eden Project, our lovely market town of Tavistock and we are yet only 9 miles from the city of Plymouth for high street shopping, nightlife and culture.
