We opened in 2002 and since then have had hundreds of very satisfied visitors many of whom return every year to visit Broadhaven or Little Haven, both well known for its friendly pubs with a choice of freshly cooked food and real ales.
Broadhaven is situated in the Pembrokeshire National Park designated in 1952; this status brought with it a measure of protection to a coastline and landscape regarded as one of the finest in Europe. St Brides Bay is much loved by locals and visitors who visit Pembrokeshire to enjoy the hills, the lakes, the mountains and of course the sea and magnificent coastline. No place within the Park is more than 10 miles from the sea.
One of the best ways to see the park is to walk along the coast path which stretches from Amroth in the south, through Broadhaven and on for a total of 185 miles to Poppit Sands near Cardigan in the north. It is home to many thousands of sea birds for example the famous puffins after which No 39 Puffin House is named!
Near Broadhaven beach are many seals and a little further out you may see dolphins and porpoises. In 2005 hundreds of dolphins and many whales including fin whales were seen off the Pembs coast. We ourselves were lucky enough to see over 150 dolphins near Grassholm. If you appreciate nature at its best then you may love a visit to Pembrokeshire and staying at 39 Puffin House is we believe an excellent choice for a seaside self catering holiday.
