Aspen Lodge, Nethy Bridge
Aspen Lodge lies right in the heart of Nethy Bridge in an ideal location. It is a traditional Scottish house full of character and was formerly the Nethy Bridge Police Station. It has been equipped to a very high standard and offers superb self-catering accommodation both for families and also for groups of walkers / skiers / bird watchers.
Aspen Lodge is spacious, warm and welcoming with high ceilings and lots of natural light. There is oil central heating throughout. There are 3 large bedrooms (1 king-size, 2 twin) equipped with very comfortable mattresses and headboards. A cot is also provided. The house caters for 6 (plus one infant) more than comfortably.
There is a separate double sofa bed in the dining room, so larger parties of up to 8 can be accommodated, however there is a surcharge of £25 per week for parties larger than 6 to reflect the extra cleaning and laundry costs.
The living room contains a wood-burning stove, a flat screen TV with Sky TV (FreeSat channels), DVD player, video player and a large collection of family films, books and family games. There is also a CD / radio and iPod player.
There is a downstairs bathroom with shower over the bath and a separate shower room upstairs.
Aspen Lodge is now equipped with WiFi Broadband internet access (subject to a fair usage policy) so you can keep in touch with the office or home while enjoying your holiday in the Highlands.
Nethy Bridge is perfect dog-walking country and we welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs by arrangement (there is a surcharge of £15 for dogs).
The cottage has been recently refurbished and features a fully equipped kitchen/diner with electric ceramic hob, electric fan oven, microwave, tall fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer.
Aspen Lodge provides top quality accommodation and the following are included in the rental price of your holiday:
Welcome pack (containing a loaf of bread, jar of jam, spread, pint of milk, cake/brownies/flapjack, tea bags, coffee and sugar, dishwasher tablets, washing powder, bin bags, loo roll).
Bed linen and towels.
Oil and electricity.
Basket of logs for the stove.
Cot and high chair.
Aspen Lodge is a non-smoking property.
Outdoors, the large back garden is enclosed making it safe for pets and children. It is also a haven for wildlife - you can enjoy the red squirrels and wild birds from the patio or kitchen. The native Aspen trees, which give the house its name, provide amazing colours in autumn. There is a patio area with BBQ, table, chairs and parasol.
There is also a lockable shed where you can store equipment such as bikes, golf clubs and skis (depending on the season!).
There is plenty of parking at the front and back of the cottage.
Aspen Lodge is very conveniently situated, close to the village shops and public transport and is right on the Speyside Way for fantastic walks and bike rides! The playing fields, tennis courts & children's play park are directly opposite the cottage.
