Plas y Wern Self catering holiday accommodation in Cardigan Bay
Plas-y-Wern is an old Welsh stone farmhouse and three self catering cottages, which have been converted from the original stone and slate farm buildings.
These are set in a private courtyard and seven acres of grounds, on a coastal hillside overlooking the Marine Heritage Coast of Cardigan Bay in West Wales.
The Hayloft and The Granary cottages are both available for self catering holidays, as are our 2 static caravans. Bed & Breakfast is also available in our self-contained annexe. Camping and caravanning is available within our 7 acres.
Our holiday cottages have been renovated to an extremely high standard and furnished throughout in a country style.
They are let on a self catering basis and are fully equipped. The price includes electric, gas, central heating and bed linen. Towels are not supplied.
Pets are welcome by arrangement and there is ample safe car parking. Short breaks are available.
The Hayloft - Sleeps 5
The Hayloft is situated in the middle of the courtyard. It has a vaulted ceiling with the original exposed wooden beams and A-frames. The open plan lounge has a comfortable settee and two Victorian armchairs, a colour TV with freeview, VCR and radio/cassette/ CD.
The kitchen/ dining area is in pine, including a dresser. There is a fridge, gas cooker and microwave for cooking, or if you prefer, there are good takeaways, restaurants and pub food nearby.
There is a ground floor double bedroom and a gallery bedroom with twin beds, which has limited headroom. Additionally, a single bed can be made available in either room, if required.
The spacious bathroom has a bath with electric shower over. From the lounge is a stunning view over the enclosed garden of the cottage with the hills and sea beyond. The garden has a patio with table and chairs and a barbecue.
The Granary- Sleeps 5
The Granary is situated in one corner of the courtyard and is where the grain was originally stored. It has a lounge with high-beamed ceiling, a colour TV with ´freeview´, VCR and radio/cassette/CD.
There is a gallery leading to the double bedroom on the first floor on which a single bed can be made available for an additional person, if required.
Underneath the gallery is the dining area and kitchen with fridge, gas cooker and microwave. The bathroom is on the ground floor and has an electric shower over the bath.
The bed settee in the lounge can also be used for additional people. Access to the enclosed garden is through the lounge French doors onto a raised patio with beautiful views over the countryside and the bay.
A garden table and chairs and a barbecue are in the garden overlooking the pond on one side and the sea on the other.
