We are situated in the quiet unspoilt village of Nether Westcote, in the heart of the Cotswolds, where honey coloured stone cottages nestle quietly in the beautiful countryside.
(The Farm building in 1982 which is now the main house)
This quiet little village boasts a pub, caravan site, equestrian centre, herbalist, Church and Methodist Chapel where Hazel and I regularly worship. It's not the sleepy little village that you might think. My children tell me I am a 'hill billy' but I certainly enjoy living here and could not imagine living anywhere else.
My name is Tony Gibson and I would like to welcome you to the Cotswold View Guesthouse website. I hope that you enjoy the virtual tour around my home.
I have lived in the village most of my life and have traced my family history back approximately 200 years in this village - I think that I am a real 'local'! Hazel, however, is a foreigner as she was brought up in Chipping Campden - which is the other side of the county!
Hazel and I started the business on a small scale over 20 years ago, when we lived next door to the farmyard where the guesthouse now stands. As you will see from the photographs taken in 1982 things have changed a little. We started by converting some of the buildings into a cottage and then built the main house. Some years later we converted another barn into garages with a flat above, which is called the 'The Granary Flat'.
