Villanueva del Trabuco is a whitewashed village (pueblo blanco). Our apartment is on the edge of the pine forest and close to the main plaza with bars & restaurants.
The historic sites and national parks of Andalucia are all within easy reach for day trips. Visit the world famous Alhambra in Granada, The Picasso Museum & Cathedral in Malaga. See Ronda, Cordoba & Mijas. Find castles, cathedrals, bull rings, dolmens, caves and the fantastic rock formations in El Torcal & El Chorro. For a change drive to the Costa del Sol or Costa Almeria for the beaches or the Sierra Nevada for snow and skiing (in season).

Villanueva del Trabuco has plenty of opportunities for walks, cycling. climbing. The village swimming pool is open in summer.

The apartment is the 1st floor of a typical village house with private access, private garden and BBQ terrace. All fittings and furnishings are modern and the apartment faces south and catches the sun all day. It has two double bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living area. Facilities include spacious shower room; fully fitted kitchen including washing machine, fridge/freezer; Spacious open plan living area leading to kitchen/diner. Air-conditioning/heater. Sofa bed, chairs, Satellite TV (FTA), DVD player, CD player with selection of DVDs, CDs and books. Patio doors lead onto small balcony with superb views. Rear BBQ terrace and private garden with garden furniture, gas BBQ and hammock.

Trabuco is only 45 minutes away from Malaga and Granada airports It is 3km from the motorway and is ideally situated for visits to historical Andalucia. Day trips can include Granada 70km Malaga 45km Seville 180km and Cordoba 140km Gibraltar is around 2 hrs and Portugal 4 Most of the towns are linked by fast dual carriageway You can even cross by ferry to Morroco The old provincial centres of Antequera Archidona and Loja are less than 30 mins away All offer good restaurants tapas bars historical architecture and shopping for local handicrafts.
