Loch Craignish Cottages has eight, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom self catering cottages nestling by the sea near Oban, Argyll, Scotland. These cottages are pet friendly and have open fires. Fully equipped and spotlessly clean.
Situated in the village of Ardfern and only 25 minutes from Oban with all its shops, bars and ferry terminal linking to the Outer and Inner Hebrides and the mystical Island of Iona. Perfect for hill-walkers and nature lovers and a short distance from the famous Kintyre Way Walk. As Loch Craignish is a sea loch, there is an abundance of wild life in the surrounding area including an array of sea birds and seals.
The cottages sit in over an acre of well-maintained grounds and have large grass areas for children to play. Due to the number of cottages, the site is proving to be a popular location for wedding parties. A very popular area for kayakers and canoeists, Loch Craignish is the ideal base for touring Argyll and the surrounding Islands. During the summer and autumn there is always water sports activities as the cottages are only a short walk away from the popular marina.
Eating out at night is not a problem as your cottage is only steps away from the Galley of Lorne with its restaurant and bar. Just a short walk away is the small but well stocked village shop. There is a bus stop right at the cottages should you wish to relax from driving for the day and you can take the trip just south to the famous fishing town of Lochgilphead or go to Inverarey where you can visit Scotland oldest Jail.
Should you be looking for an angling holiday then you are right at the sea where the mackerel run thick in the summer or for the fly fisherman you are only minutes away from the famous Loch Awe and the other trout fisheries in the area.
This is a holiday location designed for you to enjoy yourself at your own pace. These cottages although very spacious can also accommodate more as we have free cots and folding z beds available for use.
