Low Alwinton Cottages
Alwinton cottages are situated on the border of the Northumberland national park, within walking distance of the local village pub which sells good home cooked food. They are overlooked by the beautiful Harbottle Forest and near the banks of the River Coquet.
The Northumberland National Park is famed for its wide variety of rare animals. Some animals that visitors may be able to spot include rare birds, otters, red squirrels as well as deer and the Chillingham Wild Cattle.
Our four cottages in Northumberland are fully equipped and have full Economy 7 Night Storage Heating. All power and linen (duvets) are included in the price. A basket of logs will be at your cottage on arrival. Thereafter more logs are available at a cost. We have ample parking at the cottages, along with large gardens with lawns and fruit trees and ample furniture. Each cottage has its own garden as well as communal areas.
There is a payphone on site for guests use and pets are welcome in all properties except Cheviot Cottage.

Byre cottage is a very spacious barn conversion, with many unique features such as a large lounge and dining area, with wooden steps leading up to a mezzanine area overlooking the ground floor of the cottage, this is an ideal, fun area where children can play.
It has a large twin room looking out onto the hills and it boasts 2 Double bedrooms, one which has double doors opening out onto a patio area.
Byre hosts a large conservatory looking out onto the front garden and the Cheviot Hills.
This is a fantastic cottage for large groups, where you can still have a lot of space.
Coquet cottage has lots of character, it is over 200 year old and also has a lot of unique features.
This cottage has a double room with all the original beams. The twin room has a reading area, and views onto the Coquet River. There is a large separate dining area, which can also sleep 2.
Coquets living room hosts a lovely open log fire, with a chesterfield suit. The garden also looks out onto the hills and the Coquet River
Cheviot Cottage is a slightly more modern cottage, with a large family kitchen and laundry room. It hosts a large sitting room with a dining area. Cheviot has a double fitted bedroom with a quaint little box seat in the window, where you can retire with your favorite drink and look out onto the river.
There is perfect baby room, equip with everything you
need for your little one and there is a large twin room and a toilet upstairs, as well as a bathroom downstairs.
The garden area is very private with garden furniture and views all around of the hills and river bank. You can hear the river running while you sit outside. Cheviot is a pet free
cottage.
Pheasant Lodge is a new real solid wood log cabin built with oak windows and doors double glazed and fully fitted out to a high standard this is the ultimate in log cabin comfort.
Pheasant Lodge faces Harbottle forest and is on the banks of the river Coquet. Pheasant Lodge sleeps 3, one double room and one single room, with its own private garden and parking spaces.
Pheasant Lodge provides stunning views of Harbottle Forest and the Coquet Valley.
