Water’s Edge Cottage

The entrance lobby leads into an attractive, modern, fully equipped spacious luxury kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washer. A full range of crockery, glassware, cutlery, microwave oven, iron and ironing board are available for guests. The dining area has double doors leading out to the patio facing the River Esk. We have also included hairdryer, mini hi-fi system, family selection of video/DVDs, books, games, all bedding and tea towels for your convenience. Please note that there is limited TV reception to the cottage due to its location in the valley.

This three storey cottage features on the ground floor the kitchen and dining room with patio doors leading out to a riverside patio. On the first floor our spacious yet cosy living room invites you to relax, put your feet up, read, snooze or watch a video or DVD from our family selection. Double doors lead on to a balcony overlooking the River Esk where, depending on the tide, you can watch herons, cormorants, seals and a whole host of wading birds. If you're really lucky you may even spot an otter.

On this floor the kids will be delighted to sleep in our generously wide bunk beds. A bathroom with bath and shower is also on this floor.

The second floor has two double bedrooms with plenty of storage space. One bedroom has spectacular views of the river. A second spacious bathroom completes this floor.

Ammonite Cottage

Ammonite Cottage features the same high quality fittings as Water’s Edge but built over two floors. This cottage offers fabulous views over the Esk Valley towards Ruswarp in one direction and towards the river in the other. From the main bedroom balcony , guests will enjoy wonderful views down the valley. Steam Train enthusiasts will particularly enjoy the spectacle of the steam train as it passes on its regular service along the North Yorks railway line into Whitby station.

This brand new cottage features fully equipped kitchen and dining room with patio doors leading out to a large patio, perfect for catching the sun. Downstairs cloakroom. On the first floor are two luxurious double bedrooms, one with balcony overlooking the river valley. A twin bunk bedroom and large luxury bathroom with power shower over bath complete this floor.
