Caiseal Cottages

Our traditional croft cottages are fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable holiday, in an island setting which you can choose to be as relaxing or as active as you wish. Bookings are available from Saturday to Saturday in high season, but other durations can be available from October to May. Bike or car hire can be arranged.

Within a 10 miles radius of the cottages are a number of the most popular visitor sites on the Isle of Lewis - the Callanish Stones, the Norse Mill, The Carloway Broch (Fort) and the popular surfing beaches of Dalmore and Dalbeag. The beaches of Uig and Bernera are approximately 30 minutes drive from Shawbost.

Mill Cottage is a traditional Lewis croft house recently renovated for comfortable and relaxing holidays. The large kitchen has everything you need for your stay including washing machine, dryer, fridge, dishwasher and freezer. The sitting room has an open fire and wide selection of books, games, and DVDs.

There are three bedrooms, 2 double and 1 twin. The downstairs bedroom has an en-suite shower room and walk-in wardrobe. Upstairs there are a further two bedrooms and a study area. The cottage has wireless broadband and freeview digital TV. The back porch is ideal for storing wet weather and fishing gear etc. There is ample off-road parking.

Mill Cottage is situated on a large working croft in the village of North Shawbost (Siabost bho tuath). Shawbost beach is less than 10 minutes walk from the cottage.

Mollans Cottage is situated at No. 32 North Shawbost, just a couple of mins walk from the white sand and pebble stone beach. The house is on a grassland croft, where sheep graze throughout the spring and summer months.

Renovated for holiday accommodation it comprises 2 double and 1 twin bedrooms. The kitchen has dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and a wide selection of utensils and crockery. There is a small outhouse ideal for storing wet weather, surfing or fishing gear.

The walled garden has a sheltered patio area for outdoor dining. The cottage has wireless broadband and freeview digital tv. There is ample off-road parking.

Bed linen and towels are provided in both cottages.
