Self catering villas on the East Coast of Mauritius

Les Corbijeaux consists of a semi-detached 3-bedroom villa and a semi-detached 2-bedroom first-floor apartment overlooking the magnificent turquoise bay and beach of Trou d’Eau Douce, a charming fishing village on the East coast of Mauritius.

The Villa sleeps a maximum of 7 people and The Apartment sleeps a maximum of 5. Both properties are totally independent and are rented either individually or together for a group. (max 12)

An external passageway leads from the apartment to the villa at both ground and first floor levels. To enhance privacy, these gates are kept closed when the properties are rented individually.

Trou d'Eau Douce translated means 'sweet water hole', where the river meets the ocean. The village has maintained the charm of the old Mauritius and life is very relaxed here, the people are friendly, traffic is light and there is always a party after sunset. With the easy way of life here and the friendly locals it doesn't take too long to settle into the rythm of island living.

The village is about 5 minutes by car and 10 to 15 minutes walking and has several small restaurants, a supermarket as well as retail shops of local character. Banks and doctor are 20 minutes by car.

Activities nearby include deep-sea fishing, Water World, windsurfing, kite surfing, scuba diving, snorkelling, excursions by catamaran to the small islands in the North, GRSE Waterfall and Ile aux Cerfs which is well known for its beautiful beaches, swimming, gastronomic restaurant and professional 18-hole golf course. Taxi-boats are also available for day-trips to the little island. For golf amateurs, there is an internationally known 18-hole golf course at nearby Belle-Mare Plage Hotel where the Mauritius Golf Open is held every year.
