Croghan Hill stables is set on 22 acres on the hill of Croghan, Which is now an extinct volcano, in the centre of Ireland. Croghan can be described as the heart of Ireland. This small village is steeped in history and tradition.

This 3 star accommodation is tastefully furnished in rustic style. The excellently restored, 200 year old traditional farmhouse is central heated and also has an open-hearth fire. The house sleeps four, includes kitchen, dining room, shower room and sitting room. Washing machine and tumble dryer are provided in separate utility room. It caters four people who want top of the range self-catering accommodation.

The surrounding area is ideal for outdoor pursuits such as horse riding, hill walking, archaeology, geology, shooting, fishing, golf and wildlife. It is in the centre of the Bog of Allen (ref: Old Croghan Man), which is a haven for all sorts of wildlife and breathtaking scenery.

For the horse enthusiast there is a sand arena with flood lights, two dressage arenas with panoramic views or the surrounding countryside, and an excellent cross country course with excess of 50 jumps, ideal for schooling horses and riders for hunter trialing and eventing. There is something for everyone!

Croghan Hill Stables central location makes the house perfect for those who wish to travel to any of Irelands sites and cities, with many places just 2 hours away.

Guests will receive a 'Cead Mile Failte', welcome, with Peter of Jennifer ready to help with any queries that may arise. There is so much to do and see close by and other major attractions are accessible, which leaves time to visit and still return to the Stables in the evening, to relax and unwind.
