Apartment in Veysonnaz with breathtaking views
One bedroom apartment with fold-down bunk beds in the hall and a sofa-bed in the living area - sleeps up to 6. The apartment is in the resort centre and close to the ski lift. There are hundreds of kilometres of walking trails in the area, and Veysonnaz is only a 15 minute drive to Sion and the motorway.
The apartment is on the second floor of the building Mont Rouge. It is a corner flat, with full-length windows opening onto a large wraparound balcony. The apartment has magnificent views over the Rhone Valley to the Bernese Alps.
Inside, the apartment consists of a hallway, a double bedroom, a bathroom, and an open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The apartment can sleep up to six people, with a sofa-bed in the living area and fold down bunk beds in the hallway. The kitchen has an electric cooker and oven, fridge, dishwasher and filter coffee machine.
The apartment has central heating and hot water provided by the Mont Rouge building boiler. Shared facilities within the building include a washing machine, a dryer, a drying room and a ski store. On the ground floor of the building is the local 'boulangerie' - so you do not have far to go for fresh baguettes and pain au chocolat.
Veysonnaz sits at an altitude of 1,400m in the French-speaking part of the Valais canton of Switzerland. It is fifteen minutes from Sion, the capital of Valais, and it overlooks Sion and the Rhone Valley some 1,000m below.
The location of Veysonnaz means that it has some of the best views of any village in the area. Also, in winter the location means the surrounding slopes have a perfect balance of good snow and sunshine. Veysonnaz has a picturesque old village centre, with traditional wooden chalets and farm buildings, and short walk away is the more modern resort centre. Veysonnaz has a range of local amenities, including two supermarkets, a number of restaurants and bars, and an indoor swimming pool.
