Highview Self Catering Holidays
We look forward to welcoming you to Highview, a lovingly restored property from the eighteenth century era of good living. Our two holiday cottages offer excellent self-catering accommodation from which to visit the many local attractions and entertainment on the Isle of Wight, including walking, dinosaur fossil hunting, sailing, swimming, surfing and other water sports, cycling, riding and hang-gliding.
This area of the Isle of Wight is ideal for bird watching and many rare butterflies and flowers can also be sighted. Niton Undercliff is a haven for wildlife and nearby woods are the home of badgers, foxes and the rare red squirrel that has found on the Isle of Wight one of its last refuges.
Niton Undercliff is situated on the sheltered south coast of the Isle of Wight and is famous as a place of great natural beauty, steeped with history, an ideal venue for a self-catering holiday, vacation or short break throughout the year. Many famous people have visited here including Charles II and Queen Victoria, and in more recent times, Uffa Fox lived at Puckaster House.
Attractions such as St Catherine's Lighthouse, Isle of Wight Glass, Ventnor Botanic Gardens and Blackgang Chine are only 10 minutes travel away. Further afield yet within a relatively short drive are the locations that have made the Isle of Wight world-famous such as The Needles, Osborne House and Carisbrooke Castle. Many people come to watch the Round Isle of Wight Yacht Race and the Power Boat Race from the nearby inland cliff.
We offer two distinctive, fully-equipped self-catering holiday cottages - the 18th century Georgian stable conversion, Courtyard Cottage (sleeps 1-6), and The Bothy, an early Victorian mews-style cottage (sleeps 1-4).
Close by and within walking distance, there are excellent local pubs with home-cooked meals and a Manor House Restaurant. We are only 10 minutes walk from Niton village which has excellent facilities and 15 minutes walk from the local cove and lighthouse, one of the most picturesque and dramatic corners of the Isle of Wight. The Isle of Wight coastal footpath is within easy access.
The child-friendly large garden has lovely views of the sea, and is available to guests for picnics, barbecues and general relaxation.
