The local area is popular for walking holidays, cycling, fishing, sailing, canoeing and golf. There are also various historic places of interest nearby including Dunstaffnage Castle and Kilchurn Castle.
The popular harbour town of Oban is only 14 miles along the coast from the Isle of Seil and offers an excellent choice of shops, restaurants, cinema, island boat trips, leisure facilities and the famous Oban Scotch Whisky Distillery.
Oban is known as “the Gateway to the Isles”, and ferries can be taken to various Scottish West coast islands including Mull, Tiree, Coll, Colonsay, Barra, South Uist, Islay Lismore, Staffa and Iona
