The market town of Cardigan is within five minutes drive, and has many good food shops and lots of local history. Cardigan Castle, the beautiful river Teifi, food festivals, river festivals, arts trails etc. Easy distance to local beaches - Mwnt, Poppit Sands, Newport etc. The coastal towns of Newquey, Aberaeron, etc. with frequent river boats and water sports. Walking from the door. Plenty of glorious beaches, coastal path walking, and lots of places to eat.

From Cardigan, you can visit the whole of the Pembrokeshire National Park - St Davids with it's wonderful cathedral, Tenby with the Georgian houses and miles of golden sands; you can sail, or hire a boat, or canoe, and explore the coast and caves. Why not visit Ramsey Island, or Caldy Island - a short boat trip will take you to the tranquility of these beautiful islands, where you can really 'escape the rate race'.

The cottage provides maps and guides and plenty of games, for those wet evenings in.
Bird watching is another favourite occupation - red kites and buzzards in abundance - the choice is yours.
